| MIG Prototype demo | 8m:46s | 1.0 | 2009-02-12 | Both the MIG chip 'for sale' and the non essential support BLUE chip are demonstrated. Also some 'not for sale' work in progress on the MIG chip (anti noise) and the BLUE chip (voltage regulator control and MIG anti noise control interfacing) are demonstrated. | | MIG Chip Calibration Techniques using UART | 4m:30s | 1.0 | 2008-12-23 | Video demonstration of communication methods with the MIG chip for test and calibration purposes using two methods: using a PC (with Hidprobe software) and using the BLUE chip (with an LCD and buttons). | | Support Chip Demonstrations | 8m:0s | 1.0 | 2008-12-19 | Video demonstration of frequently mentioned chips that have a support role and wide application well beyond use with SGET and MIG chips. Demonstations of PC to device communication, of radio communication and of the very low power ZGUS BLUE chip as part of a device with hand held functionality (with buttons and LCD). No metal detectors are shown.
The now named BLUE chip is called the 'unnamed lcd-btn-uart' chip in the video.

| About | : | The MIG chip is specifically for very inexpensve and easy to build low parts count metal detectiion purposes. It has capabilities to discriminate between ferrous and non ferrous metals. It has a UART for calibration and for saving or recalling settings. While buttons and and an LCD screen are not required once calibrated, buttons and and LCD can be easily included using a BLUE chip.
Firmware upgrade files for MIG and BLUE chips are free as they become available. |
